Are You Listening?
God, are you listening?
Are you truly there?
Why so silent?
I am tired.
I am hurting,
And my hope is slipping away.
Am I wrong?
To want to enjoy what you have given?
I am on the backside of time.
Life is going in fast forward-
I cannot keep up.
So little is left.
And I am being buried;
Buried by all that needs doing.
I cannot get to it all.
